At the Clinical Practice Forum, we will examine the latest best practices, advance our knowledge of caring for patients with serious illness, and network with other professionals in the hospice and palliative nursing specialty.
The conference is open to all nurses seeking nursing continuing professional development and desiring to connect and engage with others who share a passion for hospice and palliative care.

Registration fees are refundable, minus a $75 administrative fee, if the cancellation request is received in writing to Joan Blumer at firstname.lastname@example.org by August 9, 2021. Cancellations received between August 9, 2021 and August 16, 2021 will be refunded minus a $150 administrative fee. Please allow a minimum of 10-14 days for refunds to be processed. After August 16, 2021, no refunds will be given.
HPNA reserves the right to cancel the Clinical Practice Forum, in which the full course tuition will be refunded.
Conference Accredited Education Information
- Short Term: >80% of evaluating participants will indicate that this activity validates, enhances, or will lead to a change in clinical practice to increase competency, influence behaviors, and/or improve patient outcomes in hospice and palliative nursing.
- Long Term: On the follow-up survey, over 75% of respondents will indicate at least one actual change in palliative nursing practice to improve outcomes.
Accredited Continuing Education
The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). Provider number PO284.
Requirements for Obtaining Contact Hours
1. Attend/View conference session(s).
Complete the online evaluation by September 30, 2021.
Credit is awarded for successful completion of individual sessions attended. Maximum contact hours available is 9.5 NCPD and 3.75 Category 1 Pharmacotherapeutic Credits in a blended conference activity design format.
